Javascript & JQuery programmer (GTA)

Tue, 01/24/2012 - 19:13
Hello,

I have a small but interesting project for a talented Javascript, JQuery, HTML5,Websockets, CMS, and back end developer. (Struts or VB.NET is are options as well). More details will be provided on reply. Front end design is not important, but the back end design has to be solid. I have a working prototype of the project working in VBA. Here is an overview of the requirements:

The website will act as a portal to an inventory update system for suppliers. A major Canadian vendor requires suppliers to manually update their inventory on a portal. Depending on the size of the site, this process can take hours. I want to develop a Web Application that will automate the process. Users will be able to update a .CSV file to the site, which will update the inventory remotely. This will greatly save the users time.

Setup:

1) Create User Profiles, save them in a database
2) Scrape form field addresses of links from supplier site, and store them in a database (samples will be provided)
3) Generate .CSV file for users to use for uploads

Execution

1) Login to suppliers portal
2) process FTP upload from .CSV file into table
3) validate .CSV data
4) update vendors system
5) provide report for vendor

Maintenance

1) Periodically check supplier site for new items, changes to older items, etc.
2) Provide users a method to change information of their products.
