Website Design - Erotic, Gay, Photography

Tue, 01/31/2012 - 14:28
I have been shooting erotic and artistic male nudes for many years, and am looking for someone to design a membership site that is easy for me to update and maintain. I am looking for someone who has already created similar sites so as not to start from scratch, so please only provide links that you have developed in that arena. I prefer more of a European sensibility - think http://www.thefullenglish.net/home.html - nothing flashing or obnoxious, or more artistic like http://tmfmagazine.com/. I prefer someone who knows how to kick the membership materials immediately into service. Hosting is not needed. Show me what you have and I can direct you to my current photographic site.

Coding is like Poetry (Virtual)

Mon, 01/23/2012 - 17:47
Web Developer aka Coding Poet WANTED !!

We're looking for an amazing Web Developer to be part of our creative team at Louve Notes Media Group (LNMG). The successful developers we have worked with in the past:
• Thrive on solving complex problems. Similar to finding the solution to a crazy puzzle.
• Work best late at night when it's dark and quiet. :P
• Like to be left alone but still able to provide frequent status checks and updates on the work at hand (us project facing types need to know these things)
• Set accurate timelines and deliver when you say you are going to deliver (or earlier is always great) - this is hugely important.
• Believe coding is "poetry."

Most of the real talents fit the above profile ! Do you? We want to hear from you !!

Let's start with some contract work and see where it leads.

Looking for that OCD factor in your development work. We have top line clients and nothing less than awesome will make them happy. Their sites (whether it be web, mobile or whatever the future holds) have to work and work well.
Here's how we operate:
• Our graphic designer creates a fabulous layout in photoshop or equally sophisticated graphics program that outputs a "layered" file.
• The .psd files will then be sent to our Web Developer where he/she will then automagically (well, not exactly) create the backend framework on a CMS focused platform. WordPress, Joomla and the HubSpot CMS would be our choices. Of course, the files will be sent with excellent detail that will help you determine how to create the functionality that we are asking for.

We have no problem saying that templates are the way to go. But, we want you to use the vanilla template that you know in and out. Not tear apart an existing theme from someone else and try to figure out how it works. Waste of talent.
We'd also like help maintaining and updating the existing website and structure for Louve Notes Media Group and our clients as needed.

The ideal candidate will have the following:
• Excellent writing and communication skills

• Ability to work independently
.
• Familiarity with web APIs and development frameworks.

• Well-rounded knowledge of web serving and desktop computing needs.

• Experience developing web applications in: PHP, Python, PERL, Ruby, Django, Rails, .net or similar environment.

• Experience with HTML, CSS and user interface design.

• Familiar with social media applications

• Organized and detail oriented

• Demonstrated interest in social media marketing and public relations

CEO of a profitable software-as-a-service email company (Work Virtually from Home Office)

Tue, 01/17/2012 - 13:24

The Position: CEO of a profitable software-as-a-service email company

Are you a highly skilled techie and entrepreneur hungry to lead and grow a successful company? Think you've got what it takes to be a Steve Jobs, Larry Page, or Sergey Brin? If you're a developer with a successful entrepreneurial background paired with strategic vision and the ability to execute it, you might be exactly the person I need.

My name's Ajay. I'm the current CEO of JangoMail, and I'm looking for someone who can do this job better than I can. JangoMail is a web-based email marketing platform with over 4,000 customers worldwide. We've been in the email marketing business for almost 10 years, and have two services: JangoMail and JangoSMTP. The company is growing, profitable, and has a great future ahead of it with the right leadership. I've taken the company this far, and I think someone else can take the company further.

It's time for me, the founder of JangoMail, to find a Chief Executive Officer who will drive my company forward and steer its future success. As you can imagine, finding the right person is a tall order. I'm looking for someone with great vision, lots of energy, and fantastic leadership skills, a tech background and experience running a business, and a personality that matches my company's culture. Basically I want Mark Zuckerberg's clone. If you're that person, keep reading.

What I'm looking for:

The ideal candidate is similar to me in many ways but different - and better! - in others. A quick summary of the similarities: you need to have both an entrepreneurial and tech background, understand how to run a small business, and have a blazing desire to succeed. What I need from someone else is vision: you need to be the leader and driver of JangoMail's new phase, and have the foresight, energy, and passion to take the company to the next level of growth.

Here are some of the particular skills and experiences I'm looking for. You should:
1. Have run a software company in the past, preferably software-as-a-service (SaaS).
2. Have been a lead developer on a big software project at one point.
3. Have skills in most areas of running a small software company. This includes motivating and managing team members, recruiting and HR, accounting, online marketing like AdWords/SEO, negotiating, developing and maintaining strong client relationships, and so on.

Here are some less tangible requirements. You need to:
1. Be knowledgeable and passionate about all things software and tech.
2. Be able to conceive and execute a plan for how you'd take JangoMail forward.
3. Be liked by me and the other team members.

This position is a great opportunity for an energetic, driven techie who has skills beyond software development. If hired, you would inherit a profitable company with an amazing team and no big problems to start. If you have the skills and hunger of a great CEO and software developer, the strategic vision to fuel our product growth and our company growth, and the leadership skills to coordinate and guide a unique and highly independent team, this is the opportunity for you.

What your first three months might look like:
First 30 days: Immersion in product and company structure and culture.
You would spend your first month getting to know our products inside and out and learning the overall architecture and codebase that comprises the products. You would also get to know our two developers and our Director of Operations, and learn about the company's operations at a high level, from accounting functions to marketing functions.

Second 30 days: Growth plan and vision.
Working with input from me, you would spend your second month developing a plan for the future. This should be a flexible but comprehensive roadmap, identifying things like what people need to be hired, what new features should be implemented, and what partnerships we should pursue.

Third 30 days: Put the plan in action.
In the third month, I anticipate handing off control to you. You would begin implementing the plans that have been made so far. I would still provide some consultation and feedback, but this would mark the beginning of your tenure as top decision-maker.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: If you're looking for a new CEO, what role will you transition into?
A: I'm not sure yet, but I'll still have involvement in the company. I anticipate that I may stay around in a technical capacity, developing and improving the product, or I might focus on blogging for the company or establishing partnerships. Whatever my role turns out to be, it will be up to you to steer and grow the company.

Q: What will the compensation structure look like?
A: This position will be highly compensated, with a six figure base salary plus a percentage of profits.

Q: Where will the CEO work?
A: From home. We are a virtual company with a small office in Dayton, Ohio. I (the current CEO) live in Chicago, but you can live wherever you want.

Q: If the CEO is remote, how will he/she work with his team?
A: Using remote communication technologies like phone, email, video chat, and IM. Our team is made up of highly motivated and highly independent individuals; it's very important that you're able to coordinate and manage a team like this.

Think you're the one? To apply, email your application to CEO-search at us.jangomail.com (Replace at with an @ sign.) Send your cover letter in the body of the email message, and attach your resume in .rtf format (Rich Text Format). I love detail - the more detail you convey about yourself in your cover letter, the better! I want to know more than just your employment history; I want to get a feel for who you are as a person and what kind of executive you'd be for my company. I also invite you to submit anything you think represents who you are and why you're the CEO I need. That might be a code sample, a list of URLs, design work, an essay describing your leadership style and history, and so on. If you consider it important and valuable to my decision, I encourage you to include it in your application.

Music Magazine Seeks Social Media Director (Chicago/Work From Home)

Mon, 01/09/2012 - 19:32
Chicago INNERVIEW Magazine, the city's leading source for independent live music, is seeking a social media director. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining a new Facebook page, Google+ page, revamping our Twitter feed, posting content to Do312.com and building a strong network of friends and followers from the ground up.

This is a part-time, unpaid work-from-home position. We expect the few couple weeks to be more labor-intensive as we build out our new social media platforms. Once they are up and running, we expect the position simply to require regular updating and communicating with friends and followers in conjunction with a planned site redesign in early 2012.

We seek a self-motivated, reliable person who doesn't need direction and can hit the ground running. Past experience in social media is desirable, but an ability to demonstrate success in personal social media platforms may be just as important.

This is not a position for someone who needs to be told what to do. Rather, it is a great opportunity to demonstrate your ability to get things done on your own. We hand the reins of our social media networks over to you and let you run with it. We offer a low-pressure, highly creative environment -- but expect results.

Please reply with resume, links to social media platforms you have created and cover letter explaining how exactly you would build our social media networks along with what strategies you would employ for attracting friends and followers by Jan. 31.
